bcb723 Seriously monolithic in the best possible way, I've been revisiting "Devoured" over the course of the past year. There's so much here that stands out but mostly it's the hypnotic peaks they reach as each song washes you away. Just the complete inward focus needed to reach this level of artistry is quite impressive indeed. Brandon was even kind enough to send me a copy of his side project Cold Blue Mountain, which is well worth seeking out if you love Amarok. "Devoured" is an epic monster. Favorite track: VII Rat Tower.

tr_🇺🇦 Sludge doom with some post rock sensibilities. Angry processed sludge screaming and growls collide. The music is melodic and not too depressing just about all the time (must be an acquired taste). BUT the last bit of the opener is a glorious extreme doom slog if I ever heard one! That part feels like sitting in a car with no tires while being pushed by a train. Curiously observing honeybadgers on cleaning robots zipping by at what seems like mach 1. Why is there not more of this? Favorite track: VI Sorceress.

SEBASTIEN COTE This album stands the test of time with great, great stature. I've been coming back to this regularly ever since it came out. Chef d'oeuvre.

Madrigal_hjalmar Awesome record. All 4 tracks are outstanding, but the one that resonates the most for me is Rat Tower — it feels like a difficult, methodical climb/ascent with a peak of astounding catharsis a bit over halfway, followed by the equivalent of emotional treading water, but in a self loathing kind of way, with a subsequent breakthrough with a devastating newly-found focus and forceful determination to end it out. A magnificent song and the linchpin of a great album. A very introspective experience. Well worth it. Favorite track: VII Rat Tower.
